No CV needed: OUVC invests HUF 100 milllion in Hungarian AI recruitment platform IntelliHR

Finding blue-collar workers is one of the toughest challenges Hungarian companies face today. IntelliHR has built an AI-powered recruitment platform to tackle exactly that, and Obuda Uni Venture Capital (OUVC), the venture capital firm affiliated with Óbuda University, has now backed it with a HUF 100 million investment.

IntelliHR is built for blue-collar hiring. Candidates don’t need a CV: they simply apply via chat, in their own language, while the system interviews them and guides them through the hiring process, even across borders. The company also has its own database of blue-collar candidates, and the platform handles white-collar and executive selection too, with dedicated processes for each.

Screening applicants is still what eats up most of the time in recruitment. That is exactly the step IntelliHR takes over. It assesses incoming candidates in real time against six criteria and a personality profile, then prepares tailored interview questions for each one, along with a career path forecast covering turnover risk and career potential. The AI-driven assessment also reduces the role of human bias, and the whole process complies with the GDPR and the EU AI Act.

The platform takes care of the very first step of recruitment as well. AI writes and optimises job ads on Meta and TikTok, and on LinkedIn for white-collar roles. According to the company, this brings in 40-50 per cent more relevant applications than manual targeting.

The founders know the recruitment market inside out. István Rácz has spent 18 years in the HR industry, in roles including Marketing Director at Profession.hu, CEO of Jobinfo and Allas.hu, and Digital Director at Vodafone. Technology is led by Roland Biró, one of the founders of Árukereső.hu, who has already been through a successful exit as a previous part-owner of MiniCRM and also worked as an SAP consultant.

„A mesterséges intelligencia helyét a HR-ben ma még mindenki keresi. Mi erre egy világos választ adunk: a gép végezze el az ismétlődő, elemző munkát, a toborzónak pedig maradjon több ideje arra, ami igazán számít, az emberre. Az IntelliHR támogatást ad, nem dönt helyettünk: a végső szó mindig az emberé. Az OUVC befektetésével ezt a szemléletet szeretnénk minél több hazai, majd nemzetközi vállalathoz eljuttatni.”“Everyone in HR is still trying to figure out where artificial intelligence belongs. We give a clear answer: let the machine do the repetitive, analytical work, so that recruiters have more time for what really matters, which is people. IntelliHR provides support, it doesn’t decide for us: the final say always rests with people. With OUVC’s investment, we want to bring this approach to as many companies as possible, first in Hungary and then internationally,”

CEO, IntelliHR
“In IntelliHR, we found a team that combines deep industry experience with technological know-how and experience in building companies, and that offers a scalable solution to a real and significant business problem by making one of the most time-consuming and resource-intensive processes in recruitment more efficient. The potential of the technology goes beyond automating administrative tasks: with the right business and technological approach, companies’ selection processes can become more effective, and the work of HR professionals can create more value. As an investor, we particularly value the team’s combination of HR market knowledge and technological competence, and the fact that, building on their experience in the Hungarian market, they are developing a solution with international growth potential. With OUVC’s investment, we want to support this development and help a Hungarian-developed technology prove itself beyond the domestic market, at an international level.”

The team will use the new capital to scale up its operations. The first goal is to become a major player at home, so that large and upper mid-sized Hungarian companies can work with a Hungarian-built, AI-based recruitment solution instead of turning to foreign platforms. Once that position is secured, the team plans to expand internationally, starting with Central and Eastern Europe.
