The Entrepreneurship Academy is a hands-on entrepreneurship program by Obuda University and Obuda Uni Venture Capital, designed to give participants practical experience of building a startup by working on their own ideas and taking them through the key stages of development.
The program is led by Martin Olczyk, a four-time founder and investor in more than 100 startups, who previously led the Techstars accelerator in Turin. Over the years, he has supported more than 80 teams in raising close to €250 million in funding.
During the 10-week program, participants start by identifying and validating problems, understanding customer needs, and developing their value proposition and business model. They then move on to building an MVP, while later sessions cover topics such as go-to-market strategy, growth, fundraising, storytelling and pitching. The aim is to turn early-stage ideas into validated projects that teams can clearly present and continue developing.
Alongside the hands-on work, founders, investors and experienced members of the startup ecosystem join the Academy as guest speakers. Through real-world examples and their own experiences, they offer insights into the decisions and challenges startup teams face at different stages of building a company.
The Entrepreneurship Academy also provides an international environment, bringing together participants from different countries, universities and professional backgrounds. Another important element is the study trip to Turin, where selected participants can experience an international startup ecosystem first-hand, meet founders and industry professionals, and build new connections.
One of the key milestones of the Academy is Pitch Day, where teams present the progress they have made to an audience and experienced investors, receiving direct feedback that can help them take their projects further.
