V. INNOMEET – An evening dedicated to innovation, community, and learning

Last week, the V. INNOMEET was held, once again bringing together university students, researchers, startup founders, and industry professionals interested in innovation. This time, the event was organized by Obuda Uni Venture Capital (OUVC), with the goal of inspiring and supporting those who want to create new solutions with an entrepreneurial mindset while building valuable connections.

The event was opened by Imre Hild, CEO of OUVC, followed by presentations from three distinguished speakers who shared key trends and insights from their respective fields:

Dr. László Szabó, Head of the Hungarian Innovation Hub, discussed the crucial aspects of building business models. He emphasized the importance of market understanding and accurately mapping customer needs, and presented the tools and programs through which the Hungarian Innovation Hub supports startups in these processes.

Eszter Drevenyák, representing the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) Community, introduced the opportunities available for startups, researchers, and young entrepreneurs across Europe. She highlighted that the EIT offers support in various industries—such as deep tech, urban mobility, and food innovation—helping participants enter the market and grow.

Dr. Dániel Lőwy, Scientific Director of the Hungarian Innovation Agency (NIÜ), gave a presentation on the Hungarian Startup University Program (HSUP). He explained how the program helps university students develop their innovative ideas through mentoring, funding, and market validation.

After the presentations, participants took part in discussions using the world café format, which allowed small groups to exchange experiences and ideas on two key topics. This interactive method encouraged collaboration and deep reflection — the sessions were highly engaging, generating numerous questions and meaningful conversations that inspired participants to explore new perspectives and continue their discussions beyond the event.

The evening concluded with an informal networking session, giving attendees the opportunity to connect, build relationships, and even initiate potential collaborations.

Thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the success of the event!

Don’t forget, the next VI. INNOMEET will take place on March 20, 2025!
