Obuda Uni Venture Capital (OUVC) has invested in Argus Archive Ltd., a company developing an AI-powered communications archiving and compliance platform primarily for the financial sector. Alongside OUVC, private angel investors are participating in the funding round, while the company’s founders are also contributing their own capital to support its continued growth.
Argus Archive records and archives various forms of corporate communication, including phone calls, online meetings, emails and chat messages. Using artificial intelligence, the platform also analyses these communications in real time, allowing compliance risks to be identified as conversations take place. This is particularly important in the financial sector, where regulatory compliance helps protect customers and strengthen trust in the market.
The founders bring extensive experience in this field. Gábor Móczár previously co-founded and built Verba Technologies, which was acquired by Verint in 2017. Péter Krasznai and Norbert Kakas also worked at Verba Technologies, and both are alumni of Óbuda University. They graduated in Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, respectively, from the university’s predecessor institution in Székesfehérvár. The fourth founder, Joshua Wood, is responsible for cloud infrastructure and security.
Argus Archive will primarily use the new investment to accelerate product development and prepare for international expansion. Its plans include expanding the range of supported communication channels, further developing the platform’s AI capabilities and growing the team.
In the longer term, the company aims to build an internationally competitive platform capable of managing and interpreting information generated across an organisation’s various communication channels in a unified way. This would allow the technology to be applied beyond compliance to other business areas in the future.
