Artificial Intelligence in fashion: OUVC invests in a Gen Z platform

Obuda Uni Venture Capital (OUVC) has made its latest investment of HUF 73 million in a fashion technology startup: Outfino’s goal is to make style selection an enjoyable experience rather than a source of uncertainty. The AI-powered platform allows users to share their outfits, receive feedback, and discover brands and pieces that truly suit them.

Beyond self-expression through style, Outfino also simplifies clothing decisions: users receive visual feedback from the AI while following their favorite influencers and brands. The learning algorithm provides personalized recommendations and helps find clothing items that are not only trendy but also genuinely flattering, saving users time, money, and stress.

For brands, Outfino offers a new kind of engagement platform: through “droppable” products and AI-based targeting, they can build a much more direct relationship with their community. Unlike the low conversion rates seen in traditional marketing channels, the goal here is to generate high-quality leads and foster genuine brand loyalty.

“Outfino was created so you don’t have to spend hours searching through clothes. Instead, it instantly shows you pieces that truly match your style,” said Marcell Nyirő, founder of Outfino.

The HUF 73 million investment will fund the development of a new version of the app that combines the community experience of BeReal with the functionality of a fashion platform like Zalando, aiming to boost both user retention and brand engagement. The launch will be followed by a three-pronged marketing campaign: PR and credibility building, TikTok and influencer campaigns, and an in-person presence at one of the region’s key sneaker events, Sneakerness.

After strengthening its presence in the Hungarian market, Outfino aims to start its international expansion in Central and Eastern Europe in early 2026. The team is also working to bring more brands onto the platform to accelerate the company’s return on investment and ensure long-term sustainability.
